Nestled in the heart of the Coteaux Varois en Provence, where the sun kisses the rolling hills and the Mistral wind whispers through the vines, lies Château de Majoulière. This is an estate guided by the ethos “No guts, no story”—a mantra that perfectly captures the bold vision and craftsmanship of winemaker Fanny Dhondt.

Fanny, a Sommelier-Conseil and DipWSET graduate, followed her heart to Provence to craft wines that radiate elegance, finesse, and freshness. While remaining active as managing director at Packyard, she has been dividing her time between both passions since 2022.

The white wines of Chateau de Majoulière

White wines play a central role in the story of Château de Majoulière, with Rolle taking center stage.

Known locally as Vermentino, the Rolle grape is the undisputed white star of Provence. Thriving in the clay-limestone soils of Majoulière’s south-facing slopes, it delivers a striking balance between ripe fruit and crisp minerality.

From the sustainably managed vineyards to the cellar, Château de Majoulière handles this grape with absolute precision to reveal its purest expression.

Mon Blanc 2025: An Ode to Pure Drinking Pleasure

Mon Blanc is an inviting expression of pure enjoyment—an accessible, generous, and delightful white wine. On the nose, it entices with aromas of fresh citrus, a subtle touch of lime, white tree fruit, and juicy Galia melon.

The palate is round and crystal-clear, offering a juicy texture that leads into a smooth, refreshing finish. It is the ultimate companion for casual moments: a fantastic aperitif on its own, and a beautiful pairing for light salads, grilled chicken, or delicate seafood.

Son Blanc 2024: Burgundy Meets Provence

For those seeking greater depth and richness, Son Blanc is a standout choice. Also crafted from 100% Rolle, this white wine is a true reflection of the estate’s limestone-rich terroir and Fanny’s ambition. The nose is expressive, featuring white blossom, juicy pear, ripe tree fruit, and vibrant citrus.

What sets this wine apart is its barrel aging: Son Blanc spends 12 months maturing in high-quality Burgundian oak barrels. Combined with traditional bâtonnage (stirring the lees) every two days, the wine develops a silky mouthfeel, a creamy texture, and wonderful roundness.

On the palate, it pairs vibrant freshness with impressive depth, elegance, and a refined mineral finish—bridging the gap between the Provençal sun and the finesse of Burgundy. Son Blanc shines alongside refined dishes such as grilled fish, asparagus, or an elegant seafood pasta.

Rebellion 2023: A Wine for the Adventurous

No exploration of Majoulière’s white wines would be complete without highlighting their orange wine. Orange wine is a fascinating category that bridges the gap between white and red styles. Made from white grapes subjected to extended skin contact (much like red winemaking), this process imparts a distinctive amber hue, complex aromas, and a unique texture.

Rebellion is a characterful, surprising orange wine crafted for those who dare to explore. Complex and highly aromatic, it features notes of dried apricot, orange zest, dried ginger, cumin, and subtle spices. On the palate, Rebellion provides impressive grip thanks to the fine, delicate tannins derived from skin contact. It is an exceptional match for dishes that demand a wine with real character—think vibrant Asian cuisine, aromatic Indian curries, tagines with dried fruits, or a selection of aged hard cheeses.
